A man appears to have drown in the swimming pool owned by Antonio Smith of the Houston Texans.  Lamar Crenshaw was found dead at the bottom of the pool on Sunday morning.   Fort Bend County Sheriff’s Captain James Burger said that the body of the 37-year old man was found after a party at Smith’s home.

Police were called to the home at 9:30 a.m., where a fully-clothed man was found at the bottom of the pool.   The body showed no signs of foul play and police are still working to obtain details about how he died.

“He was not dressed to be swimming in the pool, I can say that,” Burger said.

About 100 people and four to five Texans players attended the party that night.  No Texans coaches or staff were present.   Crenshaw was last seen by the guests about 2 a.m.

“Apparently, he stayed out there by himself,” Burger said. “In the morning, when people woke up and went outside, they discovered him in the pool.”

Smith is entering into his eighth season with the team.  He started 31 out of 32 games for the Texans since being signed in the 2009 season.   No charges have been filed, for police say that no crime appears to have been committed.
